1. National Marine Aquarium
The National Marine Aquarium is the UK’s biggest aquarium and home to over 400 species of marine life. Popular marine life you can expect to see is sharks, rays, turtles and seahorses. The National Marine Aquarium is a charity working hard to protect our oceans. Located in Plymouth, Devon, the Aquarium has something for everyone: talks, feed demonstrations and hands-on activity sessions throughout the day.
There are also plenty of places to eat and drink and a gift shop selling a range of souvenirs and gifts. The Aquarium is fully accessible for wheelchair users, and there is an on-site café serving hot and cold food and drinks.

The Box is a new museum in Plymouth that tells the story of the city and its people. The museum is interactive and engaging, with plenty of opportunities for kids to get hands-on. The Climbing Hangar is an indoor bouldering centre which offers a range of different climbing walls to suit all abilities, from beginner to expert. The difficulty level of the climbing walls is colour coded so that you can easily see which ones are suitable for your child. The Climbing Hangar also has a cafe and a shop selling climbing equipment.
There are also regular classes and clubs for children and adults. This is a great activity for kids as it helps build strength and confidence and is also a lot of fun!
