Although many hotels in Tenerife are All Inclusive, there is bound to be a point when you want to get out and explore the local family friendly cafes and restaurants to get a taste of the real Canarian cuisine.
You may be surprised to hear Tenerife has five Michelin starred restaurants, and leads the way in Canary Island gastronomy. In authentic local restaurants, diners can expect classic Spanish dishes with African influences, such as spicy stews, slow roasted meats and plenty of seafood.
Tapas bars are a good choice for little ones’ appetites, or visit a local food market to pick up a takeaway lunch to eat on the beach.
