1. Chez Pipo​

Chez Pipo has been recognised as serving one of the best “Socca” in town. The small restaurant has opened almost 100 years ago (in 1923). It became certainly a must go place for having the traditional chick pea delicacy. However worth keeping in mind that the waiting time to be served the Socca, can be long as it is made fresh to order.
In addition, they offer other traditional dishes like the Pissaladiere (pizza dough covered in caramelised onions), Pistou Soup or Fresh Tomato and Persillade Pizza.

Open all year long from Wednesday to Sunday: 11:30am – 2 :30pm & 5:30am – 10pm. Also open on Tuesday in the summer season (01 July – 15 September).

2. Auberge de Theo

Located in the pretty hills of Cimiez, this Italian restaurant might be a little bit remote from the city center and tricky to get to as a tourist but worth the journey.
They have good selections of traditional Italian dishes from fresh pasta, antipasti or delicious wooden over pizza. That is to say, something for the whole family to choose from in a relaxed atmosphere.

3. La Femme du Boulanger

Perfectly located next to the “Promenade des Anglais”, this cosy restaurant is all about offering fresh products of high quality. They serve good sized portions of homemade traditional cuisine and also have a small children menu for small appetite.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, we recommend their brunch option. It is very good value and delicious with its fresh bread, pastries and more.

4. Maman Les P’tits Bateaux

A cosy cafe entirely dedicated for parents and children. Your little ones can entertain themselves in the play area whilst you enjoy a nice hot drink and some pastry. It is open all day and serve also organic food.
They provide all the necessary amenities for children with high chairs, changing area and even a baby menu with homemade puree. One of the best child friendly restaurants in Nice!

5. Fenocchio

You can’t go to Nice without having an ice cream at Fenocchio!

It is located in the “Vieux Nice”, the Old Nice, and certainly the most famous ice cream place of the city. Opened in 1966 by the Fenocchio family, it is still proudly family owned.
Most importantly, they offer up to 94 flavours from the most traditional to the most original ones. Why don’t you try thyme or tomato and basil ? Your children might be tempted by chewing gum or gingerbread. In other words, really worth a visit.
