A first visit to Brussels means you also have to go Chez LEON, of of the most famous brasserie restaurants in Brussels which serves the combination of Mussels and Fries “Moules Frites” in French. Something to note as well is that children under 12 can eat free of charge from the kids menu if they come with their parents or relatives. The menu includes Mussels with Fries or Spaghetti Bolognese or Omelette with Fries or Chicken with Fries + Vanilla Ice Cream or Chocolate Mousse. 5. Houtsiplou​

Another great brasserie in Brussels with a menu full of classic dishes like burgers, tartares, lamp chops, fish & chips and great beers. They have a kids menu as well. The inside of the restaurant will make you scrutinise every corner of it with lots of art on the wall which will remind you your childhood cartoons like the Smurfs.

We wish we could see more places like the Haricot Magique. This coffee shop is great venue to drink excellent coffee or tea whilst your children enjoy nice soft play areas, workshops and more. Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday are busy days so make sure you book a table in advance. In addition, the Haricot Magique has an extensive shop where you can buy kids clothes, wooden toys or baby accessories. If you are looking for an easy restaurant for lunch or dinner, Café Novo is a great venue which serves traditional Belgium dishes like Carbonnade or Vol au Vent but also fish & chips, burgers or sharing platters. CHEZWaWa is a very original place where owners have a great mission to introduce California Mexican style dining to locals and travellers visiting the city of Brussels. So if you and your kids love Burritos, this is the place to go with a very colourful restauraurant that will make some beautiful Insta shots. The venue in Rue Américaine is also serving a Sunday brunch. Make sure you book in advance though.
