Lanzarote’s popular beach resorts like Playa Blanca are crammed with restaurants serving familiar fare like seafood, steaks and pasta, which are sure to please the whole family. The marina’s restaurants have a more upmarket feel, but are still very accommodating to children, with highchairs, kids menus and baby changing facilities.

Local specialities to try include lots of freshly caught fish, paella, tapas and of course, sangria!

BabyBreaks has researched the best family friendly restaurants in Lanzarote so you can plan your mealtimes with ease.

2. Highlander Too, Puerto del Carmen

Declaring itself “the friendliest family bar and restaurant in Puerto del Carmen”, Highlander Too attracts many young families who return here year after year . The beautifully manicured gardens welcome you, where the kids can spot koi carp, tropical fish and miniature shark in the large pond.

There’s a children’s play area too, open in the summer months, so they’ll have plenty to entertain them while you wait for your food. The sunny terrace is indeed a lovely spot to relax with a drink after eating. There are regular family quiz nights and game show themed evenings, and new for 2019, Acoustic Afternoons on Thursdays at 4pm.

The menu has a decidedly British influence, with family favourite dishes like full English breakfast, battered cod and chips and award winning steak pie. There’s also a Gluten Free Menu, Vegetarian Menu and of course, a Children’s Menu.
