Situated near The Level Park, Moksha Caffe is the perfect sport for brunch after a morning at the playground. The family owned cafe has a really welcoming feel – run by chef Oli and his partner Lotta, their young son Leo can often be found here enjoying a babyccino with his grandmother.

Another pizzeria which is really popular with families, NuPosto opened in 2015 and has been a favourite ever since. Inside it is bright and light and roomy, with plenty of space for prams and a play area too. Delicious local, sustainable food and drink right in the middle of Brighton beach. 6. The Big Beach Cafe, Hove

This one might not look much from the outside, but it’s right next to Hove Lagoon, a big park and the beach, so there’s loads of space for little ones to let off steam before you eat. A popular place for parents during the week, it does get busy at weekends due its fabulous seaside location. However there are usually plenty of highchairs and helpful staff to accommodate your family. The Big Beach cafe serves great coffee and sweet treats (try the Mars bar brownie), as well as fresh burgers, sandwiches and light bites.

Situated right next to Queens Park, this independent coffee shop is a great place to stop before or after you take the kids to the swings. 8.  The George Payne

If it’s pub grub you fancy, The George Payne is one of Brighton’s most child friendly pubs, and a great option for a summer’s day. There’s a brand new outdoor play area for kids, complete with a Tardis and a play house, as well as cupboards full of toys ad games inside. Located in the quiet backstreets of family friendly Hove, there’s a real community spirit here. The pub hosts regular social events from running groups to open-mic nights, so it’s a really great pace to meet people if you’ve just moved to the area.

Petit Pois serves authentic French food  a relaxed and family friendly environment.
