Part record store, part café and part live music venue, Outlaws Yacht Club is the kind of cool social hangout you might have frequented pre-parenthood. Don’t be put off by its hipster vibes though, they are very welcoming to children during the daytime, offering plenty of space for buggies and roving toddlers! There is no children’s menu but the gourmet sandwiches and sharing boards are perfect for creating a pick and mix selection your little ones are sure to like. 3. POCO Sicilian Street Food
Serving up the most delicious, authentic Sicilian food in the heart of the city, POCO simply had to make it onto our list of child friendly restaurants Leeds. It’s not quite a restaurant, it’s a takeaway-style deli but the food is so high quality, you’ll be transported to the streets of Palermo in one mouthful! 4. Humpit Hummus
Starting life as a pop up food van around Leeds, this hummus loving cafe has gone from strength to strength, and now serves the nation’s favourite dip in 13 locations across the North of England. A great place to eat in or takeaway, the array of delicious menu options is sure to keep everyone happy. Little ones might enjoy a simple hummus bowl with pitta, whilst parents could go for a warm wrap loaded with falafel, fresh colourful salads and a myriad of condiments. 6. Ego at The Wellington
Not far from Roundhay Park, this newly refurbished neighbourhood pub has a loyal local following, where families love it for relaxed Sunday roasts and the Mediterranean-inspired menu. The highlight for kids is sure to be the make your own pizzas – staff will bring a chef’s hat, pizza base and various toppings to your table so they can decorate it as they wish. 7. Cha Lounge
A city centre cafe with an ethical outlook, Cha Lounge is a welcoming , spacious and chilled out spot to enjoy a morning coffee stop or lunch. Every item on their menu is carefully from sustainable, fair trade communities, and 10% of their profits go to charity. There is no children’s menu, but the staff will make smaller portions if requested – we bet they’ll love the buttermilk pancakes with nutella and bananas! There are some toys and books to keep them entertained while you wait too.
