1. Eco Cafe
Particularly good for a filling breakfast or a healthy lunch, this very cosy café with lots of character is serving only organic products. For instance, great quality bio-coffee for the grownups, smooth hot chocolate for the little ones, and the sandwiches and cakes are fresh and tasty.

2. Fruska Bisztró
Located in Kopaszi Dam, one of the newest, greenest and nicest place in Budapest. Fruska Bisztró is certainly the perfect place to have a nice outside lunch on their beautiful terrace. You can also order a picnic basket from their seasonal menu if you prefer to relax on the grass nearby.

3. Sugar!
If you want to please your children, take them to Sugar! A Willy Wonka style shop and confectionary your children will be fascinated by. With colourful candies and a large choice of fun creative cakes, Sugar! Shop is above all, a dream come true for anyone with an extra sweet tooth.
They have two locations in Budapest, both quite small and the prices are somewhat high, but it is worth popping in as a fun treat. One of the best kids friendly restaurants in Budapest!

4. Pastrami
Most children love to imitate what their parents do. Pastrami took that on board and created a children’s corner fitted with a small, well-equipped play-kitchen. Perfect to let them play whilst you’re having a bite or maybe even a glass of wine (they recently opened their own wine shop). They also provide highchairs, baby-changing table in the ladies.
In terms of food, they mainly serve Hungarian classic dishes, but also some typical European Bistro food so you will have a good selection to choose from, including French Toast for breakfast which is always a winner for the little ones.

5. Vakvarju Pest
VakVarju Pest is a popular family-friendly chain of 3 restaurants offering a European menu and plenty of Hungarian specialties.
It is probably THE most child friendly restaurant you will find in Budapest! Not only do they offer special menus and cutlery for kids, they also have a kid’s corner where your little ones can play when they get restless at the table. To top it all off they have an onsite baby sitter at the weekends who will play and look after them!
