Drawing a varied clientele from families and freelancers by day to a young, fashionable crowd by night. 2. Bubba Hub

If you’re travelling with a very young baby, Bubba Hub could be your perfect stop for coffee. As much a meeting place for new parents, it is a truly welcoming space where toddlers and babies can play while you relax. Without fear of them making a mess or too much noise. In addition, the refreshments are simple and light, the real attraction here is the atmosphere and warm welcome you will receive.

3. Windmill Hill City Farm Cafe

This award-winning café is part of a popular farm, therefore a fantastic spot to escape the city. It serves a delicious selection of fresh food using farm produce. In addition, there’s a farm shop section too where you can get your hands on some goodies to take home.

4. River Cottage Kitchen

Set in a beautifully restored Victorian church, River Cottage is one of the celebrated restaurants run by celebrity chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. That is to say a champion of locally sourced and organic food. The Kids Menu is packed with tasty, healthy dishes such as  Butternut squash falafel with organic yoghurt , beetroot and labneh salad and roasted fish of the day. A real treat for the senses, and a great way to introduce your children to different flavours. One of the best child friendly restaurants in Bristol.

5. No. 1 Harbourside

This buzzing riverside eatery embraces a slow food philosophy and a real sense of community spiriit. Using local suppliers wherever possible, the seasonally changing menus offers dishes such as Buddha Bowls,  spiced cauliflower burger and Cornish Mussels.

There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, and an excellent value children’s menu . The setting is beautiful in the summer, and there’s lots of outdoor space for the kids to run around.
