2. Venus Cafe at Blackpool Sands

Loved for its stunning views, Venus Cafe overlooks one of Devon’s most beautiful beaches, Blackpool Sands. 3. Dart’s Farm

This award winning farm shop and food hall is like a treasure trove for foodies. Selling row upon row of luxury and artisan West Country produce. Browse the aisles of seasonal produce from oysters to apple cider. And then head to the family friendly restaurant which has views across the farm’s vegetable fields. The chefs use the surrounding land and farm shop, selecting the freshest of seasonal produce to create delicious dishes.

4. Rockfish Dartmouth

Rockfish Dartmouth overlooks the spectacular river Dart and serves classic seafood dishes. For instance,  dressed crab, oysters, prawns and traditional fish and chips. The good value children’s menu includes a dessert and an activity pack.

The river is full of activity, from sailing boats to super yachts, so there will always be something interesting for the kids to look at while you wait for your food. 5. Riverford Field Kitchen

Nestled in the heart of Riverford Farm, this restaurant prides itself on making it’s seasonal, 100% organic veg the star of every plate, though they do also serve grass reared meat and sustainably sourced fish.  There is no agonising of what to eat here, they serve a set menu of 6-8 dishes which are designed to be shared (children dine for half price.)

Your menu could include dishes like fennel seed focaccia and cauliflower with whipped feta and almonds. When it comes to dessert, you will be invited up to the pass where there will be a selection of puddings to choose from such as blood orange flan and hazelnut & chocolate torte.

6. Beachcomber Cafe, Woolacombe

7. Beachside Grill, Saunton

And at number 7 we have yet more stunning sea views from another beachside cafe… did you book your trip to Devon yet?! 8. Home Farm Cafe, Dartmoor

Winner of numerous foodie awards including “Best Family Dining Experience” (Devon Life Food & Drink Awards 2016), this cafe on the edge of Dartmoor promises a warm welcome to hikers, dog walkers and families. 9. The Winking Prawn, Salcombe

Right next to Salcombe’s beautiful beach, this laid back restaurant is loved by visiting families. 10. The Pig at Combe

Nestled in the Otter Valley and just 15 minutes from the coast, The Pig is a luxury boutique hotel renowned for its fabulous food. This is undoubtedly one of the most stylish child friendly restaurants in Devon. Passionate about local produce they serve a “25-mile menu”, where all the ingredients are sourced from this small area. Before you eat, there are three walled kitchen gardens and stunning grounds to explore, so the kids can burn off some energy. Children are very welcome at The Pig, and have their own menu of delicious dishes to choose from. However, if you want a more laid back atmosphere drop into “The Folly” which serves a lighter menu inckuding delicious pizza straight from the wood fired oven.
