1. Les Fils à Maman
Les Fils à Maman has different restaurants in France including Bordeaux or Lyon. The concept idea was born out of 4 grown up adults-kids who love their food since they’ve been young boys waiting for their meal cooked by their mom. They only serve food with fresh products and the décor of their restaurants will definitely have your eyes looking everywhere.
If you are looking to have a brunch on Sunday, Les Fils à Maman is the place to go if you are around the Opéra district. Also if you plan a visit to the wax museum Musée Grévin, the restaurant is minutes away from the museum.

Ideally located close to the Grands Boulevards and just around the corner of the wax museum Musée Grévin (that we highly recommend you to visit), Bouillon Chartier must be on every touristic guides about Paris.
But let’s be honest, this restaurant is so unique that you need to visit once. And yes the place is family friendly besides being busy all year round. Expect to be served quickly at a very reasonable price.
For instance the cheaper starter is at 1€ for grated carrots with vinaigrette. Chicken with French Fries is around 10€. We’ve recently had lunch and the bill came for 70€ for the 4 of us. You can’t book in advance so just walk in or wait a bit in the queue.

8. Hippopotamus
✓ Tried & Tested
Paris doesn’t have a lot of restaurant chains apart from fast food restaurants. If there is one chain that keeps surviving generations, it is Hippopotamus.
The meat-specialised restaurant had various locations around Paris and is famously known for its bright red colour theme.
According to their website, Hippopotamus has open its first restaurant in 1968. As a kid growing up in Paris in the 80s, I have fond memories on how exciting I was when we were going for dinner at Hippo.
It goes without saying that children are very welcomes at any restaurant and had their own kids’ menu with a surprise activity pack with colouring book and pencils.

You’ve probably guessed the venue name was inspired by David Bowie’s song to reflect the motto of the place to be closer to Earth.
On the food aspect, Ground Control offers great little restaurants with the label ‘Ecotable’, which guarantee local produce and made in-house dishes for your meals.

11. Le Corso
✓ Tried & Tested
If you happen to wonder around the Eiffel Tower and are looking for a kids friendly restaurant nearby, you simply can’t go wrong by picking at table at Le Corso.
Open since 2007, this restaurant is very popular with locals but also visitors who enjoy truly innovative Italian pasta dishes. During the sunny and warm days, eating al fresco on the terrace is much appreciated.
While there is no specific kids menu, Le Corso suggests taking kids portions of the menu. For instance, your child will be able to taste the scrumptious Basque Country Veal dish for €12.5 instead of €21.5. 12. Grand Café Capucines
✓ Tried & Tested
Step into Grand Café des Capucines for a mix of classic Parisian elegance and family-friendly vibes. Situated in the Opéra district, it is one of the most famous Parisian brasseries I love going to when I am running out of ideas. We recently booked a long table of 8 people during the Paris Marathon weekend and everyone loved their dishes including children. With its stunning Belle Époque decor, it feels upscale yet totally accessible for families. The best part? The spacious seating ensures your family isn’t crammed, and the attentive staff is always ready with a warm smile to accommodate your children with their favourite dish.

13. Pizzeria Popolare
Part of the Big Mamma group (check La Felicita above), Pizzeria Popolare tries to recreate a place where you can eat divine pizzas such like in Naples. With over 16,000 reviews, this is probably one of the most rated pizzerias in Paris.
The setting of the restaurant is very low key but still with style. You can find small or big tables with normal chairs or bar stools.
Location wise, you can’t find more central that Pizzeria Popolare: you are latterly minutes away from Louvre museum and close by the former Paris stock exchange venue called Palais Brongniart.
If you are keen to try original pizzas, you will be amazed by the different choices suggested on the menu: Black Truffle Cream or Mortadella with Pistachio to name a few.

15. Bouillon Chartier Montparnasse
✓ Tried & Tested
As you’ve probably guessed by now, I love taking my family to a Bouillon restaurant in Paris. You can’t book these restaurants and might have to queue a bit but the experience is worth it. Bouillon Chartier Montparnasse serves up hearty, traditional French dishes at prices that won’t break the bank, perfect for families on the go. The lively, bustling atmosphere is ideal for kids—it’s not so quiet that you’ll feel embarrassed if someone drops a fork. The waiters are used to all kinds of diners, so they’re patient and great with families. From creamy mashed potatoes to crispy fries, the simple dishes are kid-approved, while adults will love indulging in French classics like beef bourguignon. My personal favourite is Andouillette with French Fries but my kids hate this dish. A cultural and culinary win for all ages!
Address: 59 Bd du Montparnasse, 75006 Paris, France

16. Gros Bao
If you are looking for an evening out with the kids and want to try different dishes inspired by Chinese cuisine, head out to Gros Bao on Quai de Jemmapes.
This restaurant is particularly very visible at night with the red lights coming out when you are opposite the docks.
Try to get a table on the 1st floor with stunning views over the canal and taste different baos (steamed rice buns) , smoky ribs or the traditional crispy duck with pancakes.
Overall, this Chinese joint is comfort food at its bests with no frills with an easygoing vibe in the restaurant so perfect for families too!

17. Pedzouille La Grange
If you are looking to take your family to a restaurant with an amazing view of Paris, you can’t go wrong by picking Pedzouille La Grange. This rooftop restaurant, part of the Novotel Porte de Versailles, combines rustic charm with hearty French comfort food, making it a hit with families. The farmhouse-inspired decor feels warm and inviting, while the menu keeps it simple and delicious, with items like cheesy gratins and tender chicken that even picky eaters will enjoy. The relaxed vibe means kids can be themselves without any judgment, and the staff is super understanding and accommodating. They’ve got high chairs and family-sized portions, so everyone leaves full and happy. Plus, the rooftop terrace is a fun bonus for families visiting on sunny days—great food with a view!

If you venture around the Chinese district (13th Arrondissement) in the South of Paris, you can’t miss this Asian restaurant called Comme Au Vietnam. This welcoming spot serves authentic Vietnamese dishes that are flavourful yet mild enough for kids to enjoy. The cozy ambiance and cheerful staff make it a stress-free dining experience for parents, while the menu offers kid-friendly options like spring rolls, rice dishes, and sweet banana desserts.
