For many parents, a trip to the Great British seaside evokes all sorts of nostalgic foodie memories. For instance, the sharp vinegar sting of hot, salty chips, the alluringly sweet scent of freshly fried doughnuts. Also a cool, creamy ice cream melting quicker than you can eat it….

You can get all this and more in Bournemouth, which also boasts a great selection of upmarket seafood restaurants stretching along its coast, from millionaire’s haven Sandbanks to quaint Christchurch. The slew of Londoner’s moving down to the area has also brought a rise in cool cafes serving artisan coffee and avocado on toast. Plus, being so close to the West Country you won’t have to search too hard to find a decent Cream Tea.

Luckily, BabyBreaks has researched the best family restaurants in Bournemouth, so you can plan your mealtimes with ease.
