For many parents, a trip to the Great British seaside evokes all sorts of nostalgic foodie memories. The sharp vinegar sting of hot, salty chips, the alluringly sweet scent of freshly fried doughnuts, or a cool, creamy ice cream melting quicker than you can eat it….
You can get all this and more in Bournemouth, which also boasts a great selection of upmarket seafood restaurants stretching along its coast, from millionaire’s haven Sandbanks to quaint Christchurch. And of course the slew of Londoner’s moving down to the area has brought a rise in cool cafes serving artisan coffee and avocado on toast. Plus, being so close to the West Country you won’t have to search too hard to find a decent Cream Tea.
