1. Ciutadella de Menorca Cathedral

This beautiful city should definitely be on your list to visit while in Menorca, it’s a great place to wander around if you fancy a day away from the beach. Get lost in the narrow winding streets, and help the kids to spot boats bobbing in the pretty harbour.
The beautiful cathedral dominates the main plaza and is certainly a fantastic example of Gothic and neoclassical architecture.
And don’t forget to step inside to shelter from rain or sun, where you will be greeted with ornate interiors and a peaceful atmosphere.

2. Fortalesa La Mola

A visit to this huge fortress, built in the 19th century is a fantastic day out for families, come rain or shine. A fantastically preserved slice of military history.  There are lots of tunnels and underground rooms for the kids to explore, including the machine gun rooms.

Outside, you can marvel at the views across the Menorcan coastline from this rocky vantage point.

3. Lloc de Menorca Zoo

This small, low key zoo is a great place to visit on a rainy day as there are several parts which are undercover including for example a small aquarium and a tropical garden.

Outside, the open enclosures mean kids can get really close and even pet some of the animals such as donkeys, goats, sheep, cows and lemurs.

4. Castillo Menorca

This shopping outlet and play centre is the perfect combination for all ages. Pick up some souvenirs whilst the kids let loose on the play equipment. Indoors you will also find toddler play areas, activities, toys and games.

Meanwhile, if the weather brightens up they can go outside to explore the extensive adventure playground complete with zip wires, sand pits, climbing frames, swings and trampolines.

Time to cool off? Head to the swimming pool with slides, the boating pond or go-karting track.

5. Jeep Safari
