1. Skansen

World’s first open-air museum founded in 1891, located on the beautiful island of Djurgården.

Travel back in time and learn about Sweden’s history, customs and traditions. Children will love the zoo with Scandinavian animals, the aquarium and the several playgrounds. Skansen has also many cafes and restaurants.

2. Rosendals Trädgårds

Impressive botanical garden and cafe on Djurgården. Rosendals combines biodynamic gardening, cafe, bakery and food store.
Particularly nice on sunny days, go and explore the gardens, pick some fruits and flowers and have a picnic in the apple orchard.

3. Gröna Lund

Kids love amusement parks don’t they ? If you are in Stockholm for more than a weekend it is worth a visit. Fun rides, spooky houses, amazing concerts and children’s entertainment, Gröna Lund has it all for the whole family.

4. Lida Nature Parkour

Beautiful activity park about 25 km from central Stockholm. Yes it is out of town, but easy access by train and short bus ride.
The Accropark and the high rope course at the centre of the park will most likely be your little ones favorite spots.

5. Boat Trip

With nearly 30,000 islands, the Stockholm archipelago is the largest in Sweden. The kids will love cruising from island to island and discover beautiful landscape. This isa  great way to explore Stockholm with kids.

Rånö is by far the most family friendly with 10km of shallow sandy beaches and beautiful walking trails. ​It is the perfect destination for one day trip or a short weekend get away. It takes just about an hour with Waxholm’s boat from Nynäshamn to get to Rånö.
