Disney. A giant of the entertainment world, and one of the most magical shops you can take your children in the modern day and age. It’s filled to the brim with beloved characters and familiar franchises. And you could outfit a whole child’s bedroom with all of the products on offer in here.

Now, this store is near to Hamleys, so you’ll be able to do a quick round trip of the two. If you’re travelling from further afield, if you get off at Bond Street Underground Station, it’ll be just opposite. 3. Benjamin Pollock’s Toyshop

Located in Covent Garden, this independent toy shop is a must see while you’re in London. It’s been around for over 100 years by now, and it’s a beloved attraction slap bang in the middle of London. Benjamin Pollock’s toyshop loves the storytelling nature of toys, and loves showing children the fun and educational nature of playing with and reading the products inside.

They also have a special range of toy theatres and shadow puppet setups. It will consequently bring back the magic of Victorian theatre and allow your child to revel in it.

If you want to visit a toy shop that’ll have something for every age range in your family, look no further than the LEGO store on Leicester Square. You’ll be able to find all of the well-known LEGO ranges in here, from Creator to LEGO Star Wars. And you’ll even be able to get your hands on a few exclusive sets and pieces too.

Harrods itself is one of the biggest shopping emporiums you’ll find in the whole wide world, and their toy kingdom is definitely one of the prides of London town. Of course, there are a few little branches of Harrods that exist throughout London, but if you’re looking to hit up the main store, we’ve got some directions for you.

Of course, you’ll find this beautiful little store in Paddington. It’s located inside the train station of the same name, and it sells everything you could ever want to do with Paddington Bear and everything he’s been in!

The Paddington Bear shop is the only store of its kind in the world, and it’s something you and your children should see at least once in your lifetime. Paddington himself is loved by children and adults alike, and he’s an extremely upbeat and laid back character that any parent would love their child to be interested in. 8. Westfield London

If you fancy to visit one fo the biggest malls in Europe, Westfield London is perfect for families to check multiple toy stores like the Lego shop, Disney Store or The Entertainer Toy Shop. You will also have lots of kids clothes shops for all budgets. Last but not least, there are plenty of restaurants and cafés to choose if your kids have the munchies. Established in 1983 and located in West London Wandsworth , QT Toys has an amazing staff and quality toys for you to choose from. Good to see in London that independent toy stores are here to stay.

10. Cachao Toys

Cachao Toys is another independent toy shop located in North London nearby Alexandra Palace. Very popular in the neighbourhood for excellent customer service, Cachao Toys is a  pure treasure chest where your kids will always find their favourite game, toy or even party costume for magical moments. The arts & crafts section is also quite dense, so perfect for getting the right gear and allow your kids to be creative at home.

11. Patrick’s Toys

If you are a Fulham resident, you’ve probably noticed this large toy store on Lillies Road that has been running for more than 70 years. Of course, toys have evolved since the opening in 1948. However the shop has plenty to offer for any children including trains, puzzles, Lego boxes and so much more.

You can also pop in the shop to buy fireworks to get ready for Guy Fawkes night. We’ve heard the staff is very nice and will help you out if you need to find the perfect gift for a birthday boy or girl.

A few toy shop chains have survived the streets following the growth of online shops. The Entertainer is one exception with branches in the UK and in London including Westfield Stratford and Westfield Shepherds Bush.

Here is another hidden toy shop that sits in West London shopping centre in Putney. Located on the first floor, this toy store has saved my life many times when we needed to buy a last minute gift for a birthday.

The shop also have a decent collection of Sylvanian Families with plenty of accessories to choose. There is a good range of board games and of course the famous LEGO boxes or Playmobil toys.

Finally, you can buy kids scooters and many outdoor games and equipment.
