2. The Hop Farm Family Park, Kent

This hidden gem in Kent receives rave reviews from locals, who love its wealth of attractions for little ones. There are lots of animals to meet outside, and loads of indoor fun from bumper cars and soft play to a fairy garden, magic castle and children’s theatre. The farm’s list of Halloween themed activities is equally as exhaustive, featuring pumpkin carving, ghoulish face painting, spooky storytelling, magic shows, a monster mash disco and more. In addition, on Tuesday 22nd October, The Gruffalo will be visiting the Hop Farm for meet and greets throughout the day!

3. Edinburgh Horror Fest 2019

One of the most popular Halloween events in Edinburgh, this week of celebrations incorporates theatre, comedy, magic, movies, interactive events and more. There’s plenty for all ages here – the kids are bound to love the magic shows and zombie club.  Events are held at two locations in the city – Banshee Labyrinth and the beautiful Lauriston Castle, pictured below. The festival is on from Thursday October 24th to Sunday November 3rd 2019. So just check the website below to see what’s happening each day.

4. The Glorious Glowing Lantern Parade at BeWILDerwood, Norfolk

Certainly one of the best Halloween Activities for Kids, this wonderful event will also be a hit with adults we’re sure. From Sat 19th to Thu 31st October, head to this award winning adventure park after dusk. Once there, you will see the beautiful woodland come to life with hundreds of twinkling lanterns lighting up the spooky decorations. In addition you’ll find a face painting pavilion, a craft station to make your own lantern, and plenty more immersive activities. However, there are daytime activities to enjoy too, if you have very young children.

5. Spooky Halloween Adventures with The National Trust, Nationwide

You can always count on The National Trust for a great day out for the family, and this Halloween is no different. It has numerous themed events happening in its stately homes, magnificent castles and areas of natural beauty across the UK. For example, at Colby Woodland Green in Pembrokeshire you can craft your own mini wicker man. Or, go on a magical lantern procession through the woods at Kinver Edge and the Rock Houses in Staffordshire. Just visit their website to see what’s on near you.
