The end of the year festive season is nearly upon us and we know how to celebrate Christmas in Edinburgh. You might be wondering what family Christmas shows will be available to watch in 2024.

Whether you enjoy the classic pantomime or a famous musical, there are different plays and entertainment for everyone. You will see that theatre and concert halls in Edinburgh have quite a lot to offer in terms of end of the year of entertainment including famous movie with a live orchestra. And if you are not interesting by any of these shows, you can still book a group family ticket to see Moana 2 or Wicked at the cinema.

8. Wicked at the Cinema

Last but not least, if you don’t fancy any of the shows above, why not treating your family with the giant screen to watch Wicked the movie. Featuring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, this movie rendition of the famous musical promises to be one of the best family friendly movies for the end of this year. Different cinema venues are screening the film such as Everyman Edinburgh, Vue Cinema Edinburgh, Cineworld or Odeon.
