1. King Arthur’s Labyrinth – Wales
King Arthur’s Labyrinth is a unique attraction for kids in Wales. At root, it is a story-telling adventure where performers recreate the legendary tale of King Arthur through a series of underground caverns. The setting is refreshingly different, featuring narrow corridors, underground waterfalls, and expansive chambers that the venue uses to tell stories of dragons, sword battles and much more.
The attraction reopens on 28th March 2020.

2. The Milky Way Adventure Park – Devon
The Milky Way is North Devon’s premier theme park, offering a host of rides and activities for kids and parents alike. The park’s most impressive ride is the Cosmic Typhoon rollercoaster where you can reach speeds of more than forty miles per hour. It also hosts the country’s biggest indoor adventure park, live shows, attractions for preschoolers and, of course, dodgems.
Milky Way is open on the weekend from January 2020 onwards.

3. Blackpool Pleasure Beach – Blackpool
Blackpool Pleasure Beach is one of the country’s most iconic adventure destinations featuring activities for both thrillseekers and families. It has the accolade of being the UK’s most “intensive amusement park.” With over ten thrilling rollercoasters from which to choose, there are more rides here per square foot than any other theme park in the country.
The park reopens for a series of WOW Weekends from 15th February until the 29th March. The main season kicks off from 1st April 2020.

4. Clifton Park – Rotherham
If you’re looking for a relaxed place to take the kids, then Clifton Park at Rotherham is the place to go. The park features rollercoasters, bumper cars, arcade games, water rides and a mini-golf course. There’s also a play area and the Clifton Express – a land train that takes you on a tour of the grounds.

5. Sundown Adventureland – Retford
Sundown Adventureland in Retford is a theme park specifically designed for children under the age of ten. Rides include Santa’s Sleigh, The Night Before Christmas Ride, the Rocky Mountain Railroad and Robin Hood’s Merry Adventure. It also features numerous age-restricted play areas with fun themes, like Angry Birds, pirates, Noah’s Ark and the wild west.
The park opens on 16th February 2020 on select dates. Not all kiosks and stalls are open during the quieter parts of the year.

6. Crealy Family Theme Park – Devon
Crealy Family Theme Park is an idyllic adventure playground in the heart of Devon, offering all kinds of attractions from engaging shows to exciting, water-based rides. The park is critically-acclaimed, having been voted the best day out in Devon many times in the past. You can visit for the day or stay overnight next to the theme park on the nearby luxury glamping site or five-star luxury hot tub lodges.
The theme park itself is bigger than you might imagine – home to some sixty rides including The Twister, the Tidal Wave Log Flume, Maximum Rollercoaster, Vortex, The Flying Machine and The Jolly Roger – a big swinging pirate ship suspended above water.
The park reopens on 4th January 2020.

7. Harbour Park – Sussex
If your kids love the beach, then Harbour Park in Littlehampton is the perfect place to take them for fun and adventure. Here you’ll find an assortment of rides, including the Ocean Coaster, as well as an arcade and beach play areas. Just be warned, some of the rides have minimum height restrictions, making it unsuitable for children under the age of five.
The park reopens on 7th March with selected low season rides open between 12 noon and 5 pm.

8. Alton Towers Resort – Staffordshire
If you’re looking for a fairytale adventure in one of the world’s premier theme parks, then Alton Towers, nestled in the rolling hills of Staffordshire, is the place to do it. The theme park has an almost magical atmosphere, owing to the expertly-created scenery and themed zones.
The newest addition to the theme park is Wicker Man – a rollercoaster made of wood that features the giant burning effigy of an ancient druidic god.
While the park is famous for thrill rides like Galactica, Rita and Nemesis, it also offers plenty for kids too, including regular pirate shows, CBeebies Land and the Alton Towers Dungeon experience.
The main theme park will reopen at 10 am on 21st March 2020.

9. Woodlands Family Theme Park – Devon
Woodlands Family Theme Park is the largest theme park in Devon – a county which appears to have more than its fair share! The venue offers something for everyone, from dads who want to experience fast-paced rides for kids who wish to see the animals at the zoo. Woodlands is one of the best-value theme parks in the area, with prices starting from as little as £7.50 per person.
The park opens for Winter Fun on 2nd January 2020.

10. Watermouth Family Theme Park & Castle – Devon
Watermouth Family Theme Park clusters around Watermouth Castle, a stately home built in 1825 by Arthus Davie Basset for his bride Harriet. Today, the castle’s grounds are open to the public and feature all manner of rides, attractions and opportunities for adventure. Top of the list of attractions is Gnome Land, Water Show Extravaganza, and the Dungeon Labyrinths.
The park will reopen 6th April 2020 at 10:30 am.

11. Chessington World of Adventure – Kent
Chessington World of Adventure in Kent is a part of the Merlin Group of theme parks and attractions – the same company that runs Alton Towers. Just like its Staffordshire cousin, Chessington offers thrill rides and plenty of attractions for kids. There’s also a SEA LIFE centre, zoo and a Go Ape where kids can swing between the trees on zip wires. In conclusion, one of the most popular adventure parks in the UK for sure.

13. Adventure Island – Essex
Adventure Island is a popular seaside amusement park, offering plenty of rides and attractions for all ages, from rollercoasters and flumes to a sea-life aquarium. And the best bit? Entry is totally free! (Rides and attractions are individually priced.)
Weather looking iffy? Adventure Indoor is perfect for rainy days, with dodgems, soft play, arcade games and the all-important café obviously!

14. Paultons Park – Hampshire
A family-focused theme park on the edge of the New Forest, Paulton’s Park offers over 70 rides and attractions, including Peppa Pig World of course. The latest additions to the park are the dinosaur-themed Lost Kingdom, and a safari area called Little Africa for example.
Best suited to younger children, Paulton’s Park has won the coveted Trip Advisor Traveller’s Choice Award for 2018. No wonder why this park has been so popular among the best adventure parks to visit in the UK.
