That is to say, this is the most famous Children Museum/Theme Park in Stockholm. Kids will for example, experience the fairytale world of Astrid Lindgren, author of many children books. Get on the Story Train and dive into the stories of Pipi Longstocking, Emil, Ronia, and the Brothers Lionheart. In other words, this is above all, the one not to miss!

2. Vasa Museum

Located on the island of Djurgården, that is to say this museum is certainly the most visited in Scandinavia.
You can see the ship that capsized and sank in Stockholm in 1628 and was salvaged in 1961 after spending 333 years on the seafloor. In other words, it is just mind-blowing. Guided tours are included with the entrance fee.

3. Tom Tits Experiment

Science and Technology fun for all over this 4-floor museum. Firstly, play with giant bubbles, sit on a fakir’s bed of nails and then, get lost in a hall of mirrors. A wide variety of experiments can be enjoyed by children of all ages and adults.
It is located out of the city, but can easily be reached by train or by car.

4. The Royal Armoury

Housed in the dark cellar of the Royal Palace, it’s a perfect activity to learn about Sweden’s royal history in the most exciting way. Let your kids try on dresses and knight costumes, play sword fighting, read and draw. Free entry.

5. Butterfly House

Escape the city and step into this magnificent tropical environment. Your kids will certainly love walking amongst colourful butterflies flying freely around them. There are more than 700 different species in the 3000 square meter space.

In addition, the museum has one of the largest sharks’ aquarium, so why not double the fun?
