4. The Lowry

A creative space for art, theatre and music, The Lowry is a gallery with a difference. The building itself is like a work of art, with bright orange staircases, sloping blue floors and purple and glass walls. There are three theatres showing children’s performances and puppet shows, whilst the Lowry Galleries showcase work by LS Lowry plus regularly changing exhibitions from local and international artists.

Little ones can draw, read and play in the The Carole Nash Lookout, or attend art and drama workshops at the weekends.
